Having travelled extensively in West and Central Africa, our landscape architecture practice has been called upon for several landscaping design projects in Nairobi, Mombassa and the natural savannahs, Kenya's unspoilt tourist attractions.

Accustomed to tropical environments in our designs for outdoor spaces, KENYA is a revelation of many challenges for us landscape designers. In fact, it's quite rare to see so many contrasting and so marked types of climate and environment (notably from humid regions such as the coast around Mombasa to arid to semi-arid zones in the north and certain parts of the Rift Valley). Added to this is the need for precise water management, for erosion to be integrated and countered by the landscape, and the need to safeguard biodiversity while supporting economic development and preserving the landscapes that are essential to maintaining East Africa's “green pearl”.

We work on all types of residences and villas, whether nestled in Nairobi's modern districts or on the outskirts. To design gardens with their own local characteristics, we offer an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city in a spirit of serenity and calm. Creating a garden in Nairobi means, above all, bringing together local fauna with modern facilities, offering timeless spaces for relaxation under the shade of an Acacia tree, or using waterfalls as an inexhaustible source of contemplation. Our signature material? Basalt. Present in all its forms and colors in our gardens, we play with these rocks for landscape settings. What Kenya has to offer, we bring to life in the finest private gardens.

Public spaces: Reconnecting city dwellers with nature

Masterplan / Residences

Numerous residential construction projects are currently underway throughout Kenya, and Landscape Consulting will work with you to program the exteriors and masterplan these new living spaces. The emphasis is no longer on densification, but on providing residents with a sense of well-being. The majority of our projects devote more than two-thirds of their surface area to landscaped areas, creating a network of small parks in these newly developing cities.

It's hard to find a place with as many lodges as Kenya. It's a source of inspiration for architects, but also for us landscape designers. Creating view openings, building pathways, managing intimacy with the need for contact with nature - that's what being a landscape designer in Kenya is all about!
